A hands-on workshop for beginners wanting to learn how to make beaded earrings comes just in time for holiday giving, thanks to Friends of Ganondagan. On Saturday, November 5 from 10:30 am – noon at the Visitors Center at Ganondagan State Historic Site, Interpreter Tonia Galban-Loran (Mohawk) will teach participants how to make a pair of pierced cone earrings with dangle beads. By the end of the workshop, each participant will take home one finished pair. This workshop is recommended for ages 10 and up, and is perfect for families.
Space is limited, so pre-registration by November 4 is encouraged. Workshop fees are $20/Friends of Ganondagan members, $25/non-members, and includes materials. For more information and to register, visit www.ganondagan.org/workshops/BeadedEarrings.html or call 585-742-1690. Extra kits will be available for purchase at the cost of $10. Individuals with metal allergies should bring their own hypoallergenic hooks.
