Well for a while now I have been singing the praises of Rochester music, because for some reason I am just in love with their scene and what it has to offer musically, and now for this installment of Rochester born and bred music, I present you with the Meddling Kids. They just might be Ra-cha-cha’s best kept secret, then again maybe not, but hopefully they won’t be kept a secret for long. I’ll do my best to educate you in the ways of the Meddling Kids now.
These Meddling Kids aren’t the ones that are constantly foiling evil doers in Scooby Doo, oh no, they are foiling ear drums all across the great city of Rochester and are ready to convert all those who listen into fans. They tossed some serious heat our way with their demo released not too long ago, and if you didn’t like it, you are probably one of the only ones. I’ll tell you who did like it – the fine folks over at Fastlane Records who wasted no time in adding the Meddling Kids to their roster. The Meddling Kids decided they weren’t done, and then decided; just recently, to release their self titled debut full length.
The self titled LP is brimming with good times and overall venerability. It really is a record for everyone to enjoy; scenesters, hipsters, fans and casual music goers alike should all find solace in what the Kids have to say.
