Democratic National Convention Night Four

Democratic National Convention Night FourIf you didn’t watch Barack Obama’s speech at the Democratic National Convention then you missed history in the making, and the beginning of a new day in America.

Wow, what an awesome night and what an awesome speech from Barack Obama. Yes the long awaited event has happened. Barack Obama has accepted the Democratic nomination to run for President of the United States of America.

If you watched the speech, then you, like me, are feeling “fired up, and ready to go.” And it’s all due to Barack Obama, the man who is going to lead the party to victory and the country into a new age of peace and prosperity.

Obama’s speech was more than an inspiration. It was the beginning of something really big, and bigger than Barack Obama himself. The age of greed and corporate welfare has ended. The age of hate and fear has ended. The age of pitting group against group for political gain has ended. The age freedom and opportunity for all has arrived.

We are at the dawn of a new age, the age of the citizen. For too long has the American citizen sat back and watched as the nation’s treasury has been drained for the benefit of big business and the extremely wealthy, as the American Flag has been hijacked, as the nation has unjustly been taken to war, and as extremists destroy the nation. Not anymore, no way, no how, no McCain!

It is now our time. Barack Obama is the beginning, not the end. He has started something that will not be stopped. The American citizen now knows that the fate of the nation is in their hands. We are who we have been waiting for. We can have a nation and a world at peace. We can have an affordable health care system, we can have an economy that rewards hard work and provides opportunities for all, and we can take our Government back. Yes we can, yes we can, yes we can.
