Chiodos Lets "Ballet" Play Out
Chiodos is getting a second chance to do things as they wish. The group received praise for their "Bone Palace Ballet" disc, but still felt something was missing. The band ran into a deadline while working on the effort, and was forced to leave some material off the set. But, with the advent of the bonus or deluxe edition release strategy employed by many acts today, the group got a chance to complete their vision. "Bone Palace Ballet: Grand Coda" is now set for October 28th, with five new tracks, a couple of acoustic versions, and a DVD component completing the offering. Singer Craig Owens tells Billboard.com that the new material will be sequenced into the existing set rather than tacked on to the end of the current collection. The vocalist adds that this is their way of presenting the disc as they always envisioned it. Owens says the band already has some ideas about the next record as well and they are also in talks with Rick Rubin to produce. The group is targeting a fall 2009 release. |
