Slash's Next Book Offers Early Eye On Music
Velvet Revolver guitarist Slash is contributing to another book, but this one offers more of a pictorial history. The guitarist tells ModernGuitars.com that longtime friend Marc Canter is behind the book. The guitarist says Canter was there -- with a camera -- when he first started playing guitar, and notes, quote, "When I first started in my first band and what-not, he used to always come and take pictures and physically record the shows. When Guns first started, I guess he saw something in Guns that we maybe didn't necessarily see at the time, but he really thought it was gonna go somewhere." Slash says Canter was always around shooting and recording the shows and this book will offer something that many bands don't necessarily have, as rarely is there someone around documenting things from the early stages of a career. The book is titled "Reckless Road: Guns N' Roses & The Making Of Appetite For Destruction." |
