Jewel Pulls A Couple Of Fast Ones On Paisley
Jewel likely has some payback coming. Pranks are a common occurrence on Brad Paisley's tours, and Jewel notes that over the weekend she was able to hit Paisley twice. She says that during their show in Lafayette, Louisiana Saturday night she messed with Brad's performance of "I'm Still a Guy" by altering a video production element. Jewel explains that while Paisley sang the song, instead of his typical display hitting the screen fans saw his face on images of different women, noting, quote, "everything from women in bikinis to Miss Universe to little girls in tu-tus -- Brad's head was on it!" Jewel got Paisley again later in his set, when they usually team up to sing Merle Haggard's "That's The Way Love Goes." This time she didn't take the stage, but sent her tour manager instead, wearing a blonde wig and a dress, while she sang from the wings. Jewel shares, quote, "Steve walked out to the end of the walkway behind Brad strutting his stuff. Once Brad realized it wasn't me standing there, he could barely get through the song!"
Jewel's likely expecting some sort of retaliation. Brad's first chance to get her back is coming up next week, in Corpus Christi, Texas on October 15th. |
