Donny And Marie Might Extend Vegas Run
Donny and Marie's Las Vegas show could remain on the Strip much longer than originally planned. Robin Leach says in his "Las Vegas Weekly" column that negotiations recently began to extend the Osmond siblings' run at the Flamingo, and their six-month engagement could now go on for 18-to-24-months. Their show just opened last month, and it's getting a great reception. Co-producer Danny Gans describes it as "old-school entertainment," explaining, quote, "There are no flying midgets on pogo sticks, there are no explosions, it's Donny and Marie singing and dancing with a great band. They come at you with a lot of talent, energy, and charisma." He adds that while it's a performance the whole family can enjoy it's not, quote, "an over the top sappy show, it is good entertainment." The current slate of "Donny and Marie" dates include five shows weekly, Tuesday through Saturday, through October 29th. |
