Judge Says Spears Trial To Go On As Planned
Britney Spears won't get the chance to wiggle out of trial. A judge says the pop star's invalid driver's license trial will go on as scheduled. TMZ.com says the judge issued the ruling Tuesday after Spears' attorneys tried to get the whole case dismissed. A pretrial hearing for the case is scheduled for Wednesday, with the trial set to begin on October 15th. Spears' case stems from an August 2007 incident where she hit a parked car in Los Angeles. At the time, an official said that no license had ever been issued to Spears in the state of California. The pop star eventually got her California license in October 2007. |
