Jack's McMahon Discusses Importance Of Voting
Jack's Mannequin singer Andrew McMahon is one of many musicians urging their fans to go out and vote this November. The singer says in a new posting, quote, "We are in the midst of one of the most important elections in history right now. I am the first to admit that I believe all politicians are flawed and the system is broken, but the only way to affect change is to take a stand and vote." The vocalist says we owe it to ourselves to watch the debates and try to cut through all of the garbage in order to find the candidate that speaks most clearly to our core values. McMahon explains that while neither candidate may completely represent us as a country, it's important to find someone close rather than letting both candidates take a pass because people did not let their voices be heard. He adds that the only important thing worth enforcing at the moment is the need for information and the necessity of voting. |
