Jennifer Lopez Has Regrets Over Controversial Interview
Jennifer Lopez is not pleased with the content or placement of a new interview that tackles several controversial issues. According to "Access Hollywood," the singer opened up to "Elle" magazine's Kevin Sessums about her nervous breakdown after the birth of her twins, and her plans to place them in a Scientology school. The interview did not wind up in "Elle" however, as Sessums was removed from the story. Instead, it was published earlier this week on the "Daily Beast," a new website from former "Vanity Fair" and "New Yorker" editor Tina Brown. "Daily Beast" editors explain on the site that the interview was originally done for a, quote, "major fashion magazine which removed Sessums from the story after Lopez regretted some of her comments and asked that the story not be published." They add that they were happy to publish the story when Sessums brought it to them.
Lopez's reps, while not denying the content of the interview, stress that she didn't intend for it to end up on the "Daily Beast" and Sessums wasn't authorized to sell it. The reps do admit that Lopez wasn't comfortable with the line of questioning and asked for another writer to replace Sessums. |
