Teen Receives Maximum Sentence For Fatal Robbery
(Rochester, NY) -- A teenager has received the maximum penalty for killing a Rochester man during a robbery attempt. Sixteen-year-old Malcolm Williams will spend three-and-a-third to ten years behind bars for the September 10th, 2007 shooting of Ramon Burgos. During Wednesday's sentencing, Williams apologized, took full responsibility and promised to change his life. Williams was found guilty of manslaughter in the death of the 22-year-old. Williams and another suspect attempted to rob Burgos on Weaver Street at gunpoint. Williams says the other person pulled the trigger. |
