Scars Moderator Chimes In
Scars On Broadway fans are no doubt upset at an announcement this week that the band would not be touring due to leader Daron Malakian's heart not being in it. The vocalist issued some clarification later stating that he had his reasons. But his explanation lacked detail, which has led to many rumors and speculation amongst the group's loyal following. The band's official forum moderator, writing under the name "ResurrectionJunkie," says he was given some facts and permitted to post what he knows. The moderator says that Malakian is physically okay and any stories to the contrary are false. It's also not true that any drug use is behind the cancellation. The moderator adds that Malakian is tending to a very personal issue at the moment, which is the cause of the cancellation. His message was purposely vague so he could address the matter privately.
Guitarist Franky Perez has also issued a letter to the fans. He restates that Malakian has compelling reasons for backing out of the trek. Perez adds that he wants to thank Malakian and John Dolmayan for giving him a chance to be in the band and becoming like brothers to him. The guitarist also thanks the fans for their incredible support. He concludes by saying, quote, "This is not a goodbye, but a see you later." |
