Rochester City Official Charged
(Rochester, NY) -- Rochester's municipal parking coordinator has been charged with obstructing justice. Lawrence Seltzer faces two misdemeanors for allegedly interfering with an investigation into parking-meter thefts. Authorities say Seltzer tipped off one of his subordinates that investigators were probing the thefts. Two city parking meter mechanics were arrested in April and charged with stealing money. The Office of Public Integrity says Seltzer's involvement prevented investigators from collecting additional evidence against the suspect. Seltzer is on paid administrative leave until the investigation is completed. |
