Snow Patrol's Lessons Learned
Snow Patrol will be back in the States next month for a series of holiday radio festivals and if they seem pretty tight, there's a good reason. Drummer Jonny Quinn says the group used their downtime between albums to improve their musicianship. He tells ChartAttack.com he feels a band cannot move forward musically unless they continue to grow, and by taking lessons between albums he feels that has helped. Quinn says he spent the downtime working with a guy who taught flamenco and other music styles, and some of that has seeped into the sound of their latest disc. Snow Patrol's "A Hundred Million Suns" is in stores now. |
