Michael Jackson May Be Too Sick To Testify In Trial
A lawyer for Michael Jackson says the singer may be too ill to travel to London to testify in a court case filed against him by the son of the king of Bahrain. While no details about the illness were released, attorney Robert Englehart said it would be "unwise" for him to travel at this time. The king's son alleges that Jackson reneged on a contract to record a new album and write an autobiography and that he owes him seven-million-dollars in cash. Jackson is reportedly prepared to testify via video conference from the U.S., but doesn't want to travel to London. A judge could rule on the matter as early as Thursday. |
