Ontario County Crash Kills Father
(Manchester, NY) -- A 37-year-old father in Ontario County is dead after his car plunged into a pond. Authorities say it happened just off LaRue Road in Manchester about 12:30 yesterday afternoon. Investigators believe the father may have kicked out a window to allow his children to escape, but died in the process. Cops say the man's three-year-old son was found floating and was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital in critical condition. A 13-year-old son was able to swim out of the car to get help. The pond was ten to 12 feet deep. Authorities say the man may have lost control due to slippery roads. |
