Killers Singer "Human," Not "Denser"
Brandon Flowers is only human. The Killers vocalist admits he's a little bothered by the misinterpretation of the lyrics in the band's current single "Human" by many of the listeners. He tells RollingStone.com that the lyric is the grammatically incorrect, quote, "Are we human or are we dancer," rather than, quote, "Are we human or are we denser." He says he hates denser as an alternative and really cares what people think of the song. Flowers says, quote, "People don't seem to understand 'Human.' They think it's nonsense. But I was aching over those lyrics for a very long time to get them right." As previously reported, the dancer reference was taken from a comment made by author Hunter S. Thompson who once stated that we were raising a generation of dancers. |
