LCD's Doyle Clarifies Remarks
LCD Soundsystem's Al Doyle is clarifying comments made in a BBC interview that leader James Murphy may have been ready to part with the band. Writing on Hot Chip's website, Doyle states that the group has not disbanded nor could it disband since it has a revolving door of musicians with Murphy being the constant. Doyle says that Murphy is LCD Soundsystem and he's allowed to work as he wants without letting anyone else in on it. As for his comments, Al says he answered honestly, as he did not know what was going on with the band. But he admits he said more than he should have. Doyle says the main point is that there is more LCD Soundsystem music in the works. |
