Metallica's Hetfield On Rose, "Democracy"
Metallica has one of the biggest albums of the year, but are they waiting to hear the long awaited "Chinese Democracy" album from former tourmates Guns N' Roses? Singer James Hetfield tells "The Houston Chronicle," quote, "I'll certainly listen to it, but I haven't lost sleep waiting for it." The vocalist jokes, quote, "I thought we took a long time to make an album, but you know, he's late for everything so it makes total sense." Hetfield says he caught a Guns N' Roses show in Germany two years ago and he thinks Axl Rose is a good frontman. He says that Axl is eccentric, but adds that all artists are. According to Hetfield, if an artist doesn't show you his quirky side, he is either pretending not to be quirky or is pretending to be an actual artist. |
