In 1998 Alanis Morissette gave an in-store performance for the opening of a Tower Records store in Buenos Aires, Argentina.? Proceeds from the sale of her albums for the day were donated to a local children's hospital. In 2001 New releases included Creed's album "Weathered," Hoobastank's self-titled effort, Kid Rock's CD "Cocky," and the Kiss five-disc collection "Kiss: The Box Set." In 2005 The Cars announced its plans for a reunion, calling the group The New Cars and tapping Todd Rundgren to be the band's frontman. Singer-songwriter Chris Whitley died of lung cancer. He was 45. In 2007 New releases included Nirvana's DVD "Unplugged In New York" and Wolfmother's DVD "Please Experience Wolfmother Live."<
