Taylor Swift Not Immune To High School Bullies
She may be one of the brightest rising stars in the music world today, but Taylor Swift was once just a picked-on high school student. Usmagazine.com reports the country-pop singer didn't have many friends in high school and hasn't really expanded her social circle since becoming famous. Swift tells the December issue of "Women's Health" that she was thought to be "weird" and "annoying" by other girls in school. She says when sitting down for lunch in the cafeteria, other students would deliberately get up and walk away from her. The 18-year-old admits that since becoming a singing sensation, she hasn't become any more popular. She adds, quote,"I had more people in my phone book when I was in high school!" Swift opened up recently about her split from Jonas Brothers singer Joe Jonas. She admitted on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" that Jonas dumped her during a 27-second phone call. Despite her social woes, Swift's career continues to soar. She recently performed at the CMA Awards in Nashville, and is a nominee at the upcoming American Music Awards, airing this Sunday on ABC.
