Few More Days Till Britney's New Album Hits Stores
There are only a few days to go until the long-awaited release of Britney Spears' new album "Circus." The album hits stores next Tuesday, the same day the pop princess celebrates her 27th birthday. She will also endorse the album with an early morning performance on ABC's "Good Morning America." Spears calls "Circus" a much lighter album than her last release "Blackout." According to Usmagazine.com, she says this disc has more pop elements to it whereas "Blackout" was darker, edgier and more urban. She credits the darker album to a tough time she was going through in her life. "Circus" contains her newest single "Womanizer" which has appeared in commercials for the CW show "Gossip Girl." The singer calls the song "cool" and says she hopes it will help girls stick up for themselves. "Circus" hits stores Tuesday, December 2nd.
For fans hoping to snag a seat at Britney's live "GMA" performance, they might just get that chance. On the singer's MySpace page, she is giving people the chance to be a part of "Britney's Greatest Fan Contest & Birthday Celebration." Fans will be able to perform at the event that takes place in Times Square on Monday night. From singing their own songs to imitating Spears' hits, whoever wins the competition will snag two tickets to her performance the following morning. |
