The Pixies Frank Black Wary Of Labels
The Pixies continue to tour, but at present there is no new music from the group. Singer Frank Black says even if the band were to consider it, this is a tricky time to release something new. He tells Spinner.com, quote, "The idea of releasing a record right now, even from a business point of view, it's kind of like, 'On what record label?' It doesn't even really make sense to be involved in releasing records that much right now, at least if you're going to make some sort of master stroke." The vocalist isn't ruling out something happening in the future, but prefers to let the music industry sort itself out first. He adds, quote, "I don't want to be my own record company because, to their credit, it's a lot of work to be a record company. |
