Alice In Chains Comes Into "View"
A new Alice In Chains record is not that far off and the band is offering a tease by posting the track "A Looking In View" online at www.aliceinchains.com. Guitarist Jerry Cantrell says, quote, "The song basically speaks to any number of things that can keep you balled up inside. A cell of our own making with an unlocked door that we choose to remain in. Focusing our attention inward instead of reaching out to a much larger world. I think this is common to us all. It's funny how hard we fight to hang on to a bone we can't pull through a hole in the fence, or how difficult it is to put down the bag of bricks and move on." A companion video for the song is in the works as well. "A Looking In View" is featured on the upcoming Alice In Chains album, "Black Gives Way To Blue," which now carries a September 29th street date. The group begins their support with a one-off appearance at Detroit's Comerica Park July 18th, and returns for more shows in late August.
