A Festive Week
It's a great time for music across the U.S. with a number of festivals scheduled for the 4th of July weekend. Detroit's Comerica Cityfest begins today and features Handsome Furs, De La Soul, Todd Rundgren, The Avett Brothers, The Veronica, Mat Kearney, Buddy Guy and more. The festival runs through July 5th. The Rothbury Festival starts tomorrow in Rothbury, Michigan. That festival, which also runs through July 5th, features The Dead, Bob Dylan, String Cheese Incident, Willie Nelson, The Black Crowes, G. Love & Special Sauce, Broken Social Scene, Cold War Kids, Matisyahu, Flogging Molly, and more. On Friday, the 80/35 Festival starts in Des Moines, Iowa at the Western Gateway Park. Ben Harper & Relentless7, Public Enemy, Matisyahu, Stephen Malkmus And The Jicks, Tilly And The Wall, Broken Social Scene, G. Love And Special Sauce, Man Man, Girl In A Coma, Miss Derringer, and William Fitzsimmons are among those playing Friday and Saturday. |
