The Pool Is Open: JellyNYC Moves
New York's McCarren Park Pool is about to re-open as an actual swimming pool, so the annual JellyNYC "Pool Parties" have a new home this summer. The East River State Park on the Williamsburg waterfront will play host to a number of music acts as part of the "Pool Parties" series. The fun begins July 12th as Mission Of Burma, F***ed Up, Ponytail and Jemina Pearl play the free show. Dirty Projectors, Magnolia Electric Co., and White Denim are on tap for July 19th. And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead, Black Lips, HEALTH, and Grupo Fantasmo perform July 26th. Deerhunter, No Age and Dan Deacon play August 2nd. Simiam Mobile Disco do a DJ set, while Fiery Furnaces, Dark Meat, and The Netherlands rock out on August 9th. Del The Funky Homosapien, Gravy Train!!!, DD/MM/YYYY, and Kenan Bell are set for August 16th. Girl Talk, Max Tundra, and Wiz Khalifa are scheduled for August 23rd, and Grizzly Bear and Beach House conclude the series August 30th. |
