Grandmother Denies Stabbing Grandson
(Rochester, NY) -- A Rochester grandmother has pleaded not guilty to allegedly stabbing her 18-year-old grandson. Police say 55-year-old Catherine Smith has been charged with second degree assault. Authorities say she was involved in an argument with the 18-year-old Wednesday night. Investigators say the grandson reported she told him to leave the Arch Street home and then stabbed him in the shoulder as he was packing a bag. The teen was treated and released at the hospital. Smith was held on one-thousand dollars bail. A court date is set for Monday. |
