Monroe County Assistant DA Censured
(Rochester, NY) -- An assistant District Attorney in Monroe County has been censured for being dishonest. Christopher Rodeman was disciplined by the Appellate division of state Supreme Court for two incidents. The five-judge panel said in one instance, Rodeman told a judge he would not speak to an expert in a fatal DWI case during a recess when in fact he did. In another case, the panel said Rodeman helped craft a plea deal in a fatal drunk driving case, but then told the victim's family the plea was approved over his objections. The disciplinary move is the lowest level which can be handed down on an attorney. Stiffer penalties could have been suspension or disbarment. |
