Poll: Schumer Approval Rating Dips Below 50-Percent
(Poughkeepsie, NY) -- U.S. Senator Charles Schumer has seen his once rock solid approval rating take a bit of a dive lately. A new Marist Poll finds that, for the first time in nearly nine years, Schumer's approval rating has fallen below 50-percent. The poll finds 47-percent of registered voters believe the senior senator from New York is doing either and excellent or good job in office. This is Schumer's lowest approval rating since April 2001 and a steady decline since last September when he had a 58-percent job approval rating. Analysts believe the drop could be do to the anti-incumbent sentiment that has been sweeping across the country in recent months. |
