Rochester High School Student Pleads Not Guilty To Weapons Charge
(Rochester, NY) -- The Rochester high school student accused of bringing a loaded handgun to school has pleaded not guilty to a weapons charge. Prosecutors say bail has been set at five-thousand dollars for 19-year-old Justin Harvey. Authorities say Harvey stole the gun from a friend's house two days prior to bringing it to the Edison Technical and Occupational Education Center on January 11th. Authorities say they have a confession from Harvey allegedly admitting he set off metal detectors at the school but was waived through by school security. Harvey faces up to 15 years behind bars after being indicted on a felony weapons possession charge. |
