Rochester Man Pleads Not Guilty To Dollar Store Fires
(Rochester, NY) -- The Rochester man accused of setting the Dollar Store fires in November has pleaded not guilty. Prosecutors say 40-year-old Rondell Flowers faces two counts of second-degree arson for allegedly sparking the blazes on November 23rd. Authorities say Flowers started a small fire at the Dollar Store on North Goodman Avenue at about 11:30 that morning which was quickly extinguished. Police say he then touched off a massive fire at the chain's location in the Ridge-Clinton plaza. Authorities say Flowers was a former employee at the North Goodman location but a motive has not been pinpointed. he could face up to 50 years behind bars if convicted. |
