Governor Paterson Approval at 26-Percent, Dems Want Cuomo
(Albany, NY) -- A new poll is very bad news for Governor Paterson. After seeing his approval among voters in a Marist Poll in January climb to 31-percent, Paterson's approval is back down to just 26-percent in a Marist survey. Statewide, 60-percent of those questioned say they do not want Paterson to run for election this fall. Seventy-six percent of those same Democrats want State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo to get into the race. Pollster Lee Miringoff says in a head to head primary matchup, Cuomo trounces Paterson by a 70 to 23 percent margin in this new poll. |
