Red Hot Chili Peppers To Play Billionaire's Party In Caribbean
The Red Hot Chili Peppers will be ringing in the new year from the Caribbean this weekend. According to "The Daily Telegraph," the California rockers have been booked to perform at a New Year's Eve party being thrown by Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich on the island of St. Barts. Abramovich, who also owns the U.K.'s Chelsea Football Club, reportedly forked over five-million pounds for the bash, which converts to more than seven-and-a-half-million dollars. It's unclear, however, how much Anthony Kiedis and company will get for the gig. In previous years, Abramovich has brought in acts like Prince, Beyonce and Gwen Stefani to serve as the party's main entertainment, with other stars like Kanye West and Orlando Bloom being invited just to enjoy the show. |
