Unions File Lawsuit Over New York Health Changes
(Albany, NY) -- Several unions representing most New York State employees have filed a lawsuit challenging Governor Andrew Cuomo's changes to health premiums. Back in the fall, Cuomo's administration tweaked health coverage premiums, making retired workers pay two-percent more for their benefits. The coalition of unions claims it is illegal for the state to increase rates for already retired members and that the unions did not negotiate and agree on those terms. |
